HY-6820 polyurethane lamination adhesive for aluminum foil

HY-6820 aluminum foil adhesive is suitable for the lamination of aluminum foil and other plastic films. This product has high initial adhesion and is particularly suitable for lamination of aluminum foil structures. It can reduce or eliminate the "tunnel" phenomenon that is easy to occur when aluminum foil is laminated. It has good wetting properties and coating processing properties for the substrate, and there are few white spots and bubbles when aluminum foil is laminated. This product is not suitable for products that are resistant to boiling water.

3. Usage:
1. Use ethyl acetate as solvent, and the water content in ethyl acetate should be ≤300ppm. The order of preparing glue is: a certain amount of ethyl acetate → a certain amount of main agent (component A), stir evenly, add a certain amount of curing agent (component B), and stir thoroughly. The standard ratio (weight ratio) is component A: component B = 5:1. When the air humidity is high, the curing agent must be increased by 10%-20%.

3. Calculation of coating amount: There is a rough empirical formula for the coating calculation of Bumeilan and laser coating rollers for reference:                                           
Dry basis coating amount (g/㎡) = 0.2 × working liquid concentration % × mesh depth µ × working liquid specific gravity
The above formula cannot be applied to electro-engraving coating and pyramidal embossed coating rollers. The specific gravity of the working liquid concentration of 33% is 1; while the specific gravity of the concentration of 26% is 0.96. The specific gravity of the concentration of 45% is 1.04. The specific gravity can be ignored for calculations with low precision.
4. Selection of coating amount: Depending on the substrate structure and usage requirements, the coating amount (dry basis) can be selected between 2.5-4.5g/㎡. The
coating amount of ordinary food packaging bags can be less, and the peel strength can be satisfied, mainly considering white spots and bubbles. The coating amount of packaging bags with high peel strength requirements should be increased. The amount of glue applied is mainly determined by the depth of the mesh roller and the working concentration.
5. Use the lamination machine to evenly apply the working glue liquid on the lamination film with a glue roller, heat and dry it through a gradient drying tunnel, and heat and press the lamination film after the solvent evaporates. The temperature of the lamination roller is generally controlled at 60-80℃. The temperature control is related to the heat resistance and thickness of the film. The lamination pressure is generally controlled at 0.2-0.4Mpa. In principle, the lamination pressure and the roller temperature should be increased as much as possible without damaging the film.
This product does not have its proper adhesive properties immediately after lamination processing. It needs to be sent to the aging room to promote the reaction. It needs to be aged for 12 to 24 hours at a temperature of 50-60℃ to achieve its proper lamination strength.
Storage
Store in a sealed, cool, ventilated and dry place. The storage period is 12 months.
When the glue liquid is turbid and agglomerated, it cannot be used. It
is strictly forbidden to mix water and other substances.
This product is flammable and should be stored in a fireproof manner.
Notes
1. The adhesive film must be corona treated, that is, corona discharge is performed at a high voltage of 15-40kV and a high frequency of 5-110kHz to make the surface tension of the film reach more than 40mN/m. The type and concentration of film additives (slip agent, antioxidant, antistatic agent, plasticizer, etc.) also have different degrees of influence on the bonding strength of the lamination film, so they should be selected before use.
2. The application period of the prepared adhesive depends on the solid content of the adhesive, the storage temperature, the water content in the diluent, etc. Generally, the prepared adhesive is stored in a sealed container, and there is no obvious viscosity increase for 12 hours to 24 hours. Adhesives that have exceeded their service life or old glue in the glue barrel will have an adverse effect on the quality of the lamination product.
3. In principle, the remaining residual liquid cannot be used, so the minimum glue liquid should be prepared according to the processing quantity. In case of too much residual liquid, please dilute it with several times the solvent and place it in a dark place. Use it as a diluent for ordinary lamination the next day. If it is turbid or sticky, it cannot be used.
4. Do not mix this product with other adhesives. If necessary, please consult our technical department.
5. The operating conditions, lamination process, usage methods, and performance data in this technical data are obtained through tests by our technical department. In actual applications, due to differences in the source of raw materials, equipment process conditions, and packaging structure of each user, it is recommended that each user conduct tests first or consult our technical department.
