HY-5150 alcohol-soluble two-component polyurethane dry-type lamination adhesive

HY-5150 alcohol-soluble two-component polyurethane dry-type lamination adhesive

HY-5150 is a general-purpose two-component alcohol-soluble polyurethane adhesive for plastic/plastic and aluminum-plated film lamination s.
2. Performance characteristics:
1. This product has the characteristics of low viscosity, good leveling, high initial adhesion, and excellent general performance.
2. It is suitable for lamination films such as BOPP, PET, PE, CPP, and films containing VMCPP and VMPET.
3. The product has a wide range of adaptability, loose requirements on humidity environment, and can adapt to working environments with high relative humidity. It is mainly suitable for dry-type lamination s of food and pharmaceutical soft packaging, especially for products with strict requirements on lamination film solvent residues and odor.
4. The ink has a wide adaptability and can be lamination d with conventional chlorinated polypropylene, polyurethane alcohol-soluble and alcohol-water-based inks. The product has good leveling performance, and the lamination white-bottom ink is not prone to spots.
5. It does not contain toxic substances such as toluene and TDI. Alcohols are used as solvents during operation, which is cheap and saves production costs. The use of low-toxic and low-irritation alcohols as solvents has greatly improved the working environment and has good environmental protection performance.

4. Hygienic Standards:
This adhesive complies with the following health and safety regulations:
GB9685-2003 "Hygienic Standards for the Use of Additives for Food Containers and Packaging Materials".
GB15193.1-94 "Toxicological Evaluation Procedures for Food Safety".
5. Glue Proportion:
This adhesive can use refined methanol, ethanol with a purity of >97%, and isopropanol as solvents. Low-purity solvents will cause the glue to become turbid and white, affecting the gluing effect, and will also easily cause the lamination film to become sticky. It is recommended to use ethanol as a solvent. The mixing ratio is component A: component B = 6:1. The method of mixing glue is to first add a diluent to the main agent, stir evenly, then add a curing agent, and stir thoroughly.
6. Working concentration:
The generally recommended concentration is 15%-35%, and the optimal concentration is 25%.

Working concentration (%) HY-8150A (kg) HY-8150B (kg) Solvent (kg) Viscosity (3# Zahn cup/25℃) seconds
35 6 1 1.4 26.6
30 6 1 2.8 23.4
25 6 1 4.8 15.6
20 6 1 7.7 12.6

7. Coating amount:
This adhesive is suitable for coating any smooth roller and anilox roller. According to the purpose of use of the lamination product or the different lamination materials, the dry basis coating amount is selected between 1.5-3g/㎡, and the mesh and line number of the pressure roller or anilox roller are reasonably matched according to the glue application amount required by the process. It is recommended to use a mesh roller with 150-190 lines and 35-50μm depth.
8. lamination aging:
When using methanol and ethyl ester as solvents, it can be operated according to the normal temperature process as long as the solvent is fully volatilized. When using ethanol as a solvent, because the ethanol volatilization rate is slightly slower, the drying temperature of the ester-soluble adhesive should be increased by 5-10℃, and the lamination equipment should be well ventilated. When the drying system is more than three stages, the temperature should be controlled at 55℃ at the inlet end. When the drying system is divided into three stages, the temperature from the film inlet to the outlet should be controlled between 55℃-65℃, 65℃-75℃, and 75℃-85℃. The pressure and temperature of the lamination roller should be increased as much as possible without damaging the film. The pressure should be above 0.6Mpa, and the temperature should be generally controlled at 50℃-80℃. The film that is easily affected by temperature should be 50℃-60℃, and other films can be 70℃-80℃.
After aging at 45±5℃ for 12-24 hours, it can be cut and bagged. Thin packaging can be unaged or naturally aged.
IX. Packaging and storage:
main agent 18kg/barrel, curing agent 3kg/barrel.
This product should be sealed and stored in a cool and dry place. The validity period of the main agent and curing agent is six months.
X. Precautions:
· lamination films all need surface treatment, and their surface tension: PE, BOPP, CPP should reach more than 38 dynes, PET, VMCPP, VMBOPP should reach more than 42 dynes, VMPET should reach more than 50 dynes, and PA should reach more than 52 dynes.
·The type and content of film additives have an impact on the bonding strength of the lamination film, so they should be selected before use. In particular, the content of lubricant in the film is crucial and must be strictly controlled.
·The influence of relevant factors should be considered, such as:
     A. Ink: In particular, transparent ink may change, so it cannot be used; when using surface printing ink as inner printing ink, it will cause the glue layer to not dry due to its consumption of curing agent, so please use it with caution.
     B. This product is suitable for the production of packaging with non-irritating, volatile, and destructive contents. The infiltration of different contents into the lamination layer may cause changes in the quality of the lamination film. Therefore, this product is not suitable for water-based, acidic and alkaline liquid packaging. Customers must conduct tests before formal production to determine the adaptability of the adhesive to the relevant interface to avoid quality accidents.
     C. Because alcohol-soluble glue has poor temperature resistance, it is not suitable for lamination products that require pasteurization, boiling, and steaming packaging bags. When making bags for lamination products, in order to ensure the sealing strength, it is recommended to use low-temperature and high-pressure bag making technology.
     D. When lamination yin and yang film aluminum-plated products, if the half-coating process is used (i.e.: one half of the film is aluminum-plated and the other half is not), this alcohol sol cannot be used. If the splicing process is used, please use the side of the PET light film with a large corona value as the lamination layer. When lamination aluminum foil, it should be carefully selected according to the final use of the packaging bag.
· Residual glue: In principle, the residual liquid cannot be used again. If there is too much residual liquid, please dilute it 1-1.5 times and store it in a sealed and cool place at low temperature. The next day, it will be used as a diluent and gradually added to the newly prepared glue in small amounts (not suitable for lamination products with high quality requirements). If it becomes turbid, translucent or thickened, it cannot be used anymore.
· Do not mix this product with other adhesives.
· Please store it in a sealed dark place and pay attention to fire prevention.
